Adrian Interviewed by High School Classmate

Laura Nachman, who works as a reporter for the Bucks County Courier Times (PA) newspaper, just did an interview with Adrian. She is a friend and fellow classmate from high school of Adrian’s. I thought you all would like to read this great article.

In the midst of his three episode appearance on ABC’s smash hit “Desperate Housewives,” Marple Newtown High alumni Adrian Pasdar, 40, is enjoying yet another accomplishment in his acting career.

“I’ve received more publicity in two weeks then I have in 20 years,” Pasdar said from his Los Angeles home that he shares with his wife of five years, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, and their sons Jackson Slade, 4, and Beckett Finn, 15 months.
Pasdar, who was known by his middle name while a student, participated in the plays and played for the football team while at Marple-Newtown.

He earned a football scholarship to Central Florida University, but after his first football game, was in a serious car accident, which ended his football and college career.

Returning to Pennsylvania, Pasdar worked for the People’s Light Theatre in Malvern before moving to New York City.

It wasn’t long before he landed a role in “Top Gun” with Tom Cruise in 1986. The parts kept coming. He co-starred in an independent film called “Torn Apart” with famed actor Gregory Peck’s daughter, Cecilia. Pasdar and Cecilia were engaged, but never married. The two are still friends and Peck is directing a documentary about the Dixie Chicks.

Pasdar met Ms. Maines when they were in the wedding party for fellow Dixie Chick Emily Ervin and Pasdar’s friend, musician Charlie Robison.

Pasdar has consistently worked in film and television the last two decades. Some of Pasdar’s better-known projects are starring roles in the critically acclaimed film “Near Dark,” the short-lived television Fox television series “Profit” in 1996, and a two-year run on “Mysterious Ways” on NBC and PAX. Before landing on “D.H.” Pasdar was on the CBS series “Judging Amy” for two years.
He’s also worked with everybody from Diane Lane, to Sean Penn and Al Pacino, to opposite Paula Abdul in a Lifetime movie. He said he hopes to eventually work with his wife, who he feels is “a natural.”

Though he said he didn’t get into acting for the fame, Pasdar is enjoying the excitement of being on “Desperate Housewives,” one of the top-rated shows in the country. He plays attorney David Bradley, who is representing the character of Carlos Solis.
“It was a lot of fun. It’s a well-oiled machine there. Even the moms at my son’s preschool are looking at me differently now.”
Pasdar and his family split their time between Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, and New York, NY. He returns to the area to visit his father, Homayoon, a surgeon, and his mother, Rosemarie, a travel consultant. (His parents were divorced years ago.) His sister, Anamarie manages the famed Gate theatre in London, England. He’ll most likely return to the area again, when his wife’s group, The Dixie Chicks makes a stop in Philadelphia, as they are scheduled to go on tour next year to support their new album.
Pasdar said he got a kick out of returning to the MN Class of ’83 20-year reunion two years ago at Paxon Hollow Country Club in Marple where he once worked as a caddie.

“It was great being back and not lugging around clubs,” he laughed.

After his stint on “D.H.” is completed (Nov.6), Pasdar hopes to work on another television series so he can stay in Los Angeles, where his oldest son is in preschool.

He also optioned the book “Virgin of the Rodeo” and hopes to direct.

Adrian is “David” again for DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

The next new addition to “Housewives” is Adrian Pasdar. The actor signed on to play ‘David Bradley,’ a successful and cunning lawyer hired by Carlos Solis to appeal his recent jail sentence. However, like most characters on ‘Housewives,’ David has his own hidden agenda. The lawyer is devising a plot to seduce Gabrielle (Eva Longoria). David will debut in the fourth episode of the upcoming season, and will stick around for at least three episodes.

Episode four of the season will feature Pasdar trying to get Carlos to employee him. He taunts Carlos by saying he will pursue and win Gabrielle, and promises to fly her out to his chateau in Chamonix and make love to her “by the fire”. However he tells Carlos that if he employees him, then Gabrielle will remain off limits.

The TV show premiere is Sunday, September 25th @9PM with episode #4, MY HEART BELONGS TO DADDY on 10/16.

Happy 5th Anniversary to Adrian & Natalie

Happy 5th anniversary to Adrian & Natalie, married on June 24.2000.

Adrian and Natalie met on May 1, 1999. Charlie Robison, a long time friend of Adrian’s asked Adrian to be his groomsman at his wedding in May. The bride, Emily Irvin of the Dixie Chicks, asked Natalie Maines to be her bridesmaid. The couple thought Adrian and Natalie would like one another. Due to car troubles, Adrian arrived at the wedding just in time. Adrian and Natalie met for the first time while walking down the aisle.

It was love at first sight! After the reception, Adrian and Natalie sat up the whole night getting to know one another. Neither knew about each other’s career.

By 2000, the couple was engaged. That year was a busy one as the Dixie Chicks were on a huge world tour, and Adrian was in Vancouver, Canada filming his TV series, MYSTERIOUS WAYS. Finally the couple decided to marry in Las Vegas. The Dixie Chicks performed that night in a Las Vegas stadium. The only clue that this was to be a special night was when Natalie dedicated the Dixie Chicks tune, “Cowboy Take Me Away” to Adrian who was sitting front row in the audience. After the show Adrian and Natalie slipped into wedding clothes and quietly went to a wedding chapel and with just the two of them recited their vows to each other.

Six months later when the TV filming and the tour were over, Adrian and Natalie flew families and friends over to Paris where the couple renewed their wedding vows in a Christmas Eve service at a two hundred year old Catholic Cathedral.
May Adrian and Natalie have many more happy years together!
