It’s been a long time since I have had the chance to sign on here and I want to say to all of you watching that it is a real thrill to know that you are out there.
From what I can tell, the show will be off the air until we go back to work, sometime in mid-April. Your support for the show is the reason we are on the air. If not for you, a positive and simple show like ours would never make the cut-throat primetime arena of violence and mayhem. My hat is off to all of you who make my job a reality. That is the real miracle. Thank you. We will try as hard as we can next season to bring better and deeper storylines to your television screens. AP

MYSTERIOUS WAYS SYNOPSIS, CAST & CREW, AWARDS

MYSTERIOUS WAYS Synopsis:
Declan Dunn (Adrian Pasdar) is a professor of Anthropology at Oregon University. He is fascinated with unexplained phenomena. His assistant, Miranda (Alisen Down) tries to assist Dunn not only with his classes as a physics grad student, but tries to keep him focused on his job. Peggy Fowler (Rae Dawn Chong) is a hospital psychiatrist drawn into the world of mystical phenomena by Dunn. Peggys academic approach to extraordinary events helps to balance Dunns more open-minded view. Dunns companion is Mole (Sam), a sandy blonde terrier mix dog. The first show (Pilot) explores the phenomenon of a little child who falls through the ice and drowns. He ends up on top of the ice and is almost alive. Dunn embarks on a quest to explain what science cannot. Tune in as he faces the audience asking, “What if.” Adrian inspired his alter ego?
Adrian comments that his character, Declan Dunn on Mysterious Ways, is not as skeptical as he is, but the traits his character has might have been copied from real life: “I dont like to shave, my clothes are always wrinkled… and Im always bumming meals of friends!” he laughs.

4. Hello Adrian Pasdar,
What advice would you give to high school students who are interested in a career in the performing arts?.
ANSWER: AP” advice to high school students who wish to pursue a career in the arts is this. Do it. There is no sure road, only sure people. You must be and honest judge of your desire.”________________________-
5. Dear Adrian, Can I ask you a personal question? I read - on this wonderful site dedicated to you - that you smoke (or at least you used to). Because we all adore you so much and want you to be around a long time for not only us but your still growing family, my question follows. Do you still smoke, if yes, are you going to try to quit? Hope this isn’t too personal!
ANSWER: AP”I no longer smoke.”

6. I’m not going to argue with calmarie. She probably is your biggest fan, but I run a close second. I was hooked on Judging Amy this year because of you. If for any reason you do not continue with the show, I will follow you to wherever your next project leads you.
My question is: Do you relate in any way to your character of David McClaren? If so, how?
ANSWER: AP”. I have not had the misfortune of the experienced level of loss that David McClaren has gone through. It is a difficult and awkward climb into that character from time to time. It will be bittersweet to say so long, when it’s all over. But I AM thrilled to have had the chance to play him.”

7. Adrian you Rock!! Natalie does too. My question to you is in what ways would you say you have changed since marrying Natalie. Same question only with becoming a dad.
ANSWER: AP”How has my life changed since I married Natalie and become a father? Aside from the obvious, it is a simple, subtle, life now, infused with the charm and nuance that only a 5′ 3″ blond from Texas could bring me. And there is a lot more Sesame Street in it now as well.”

10. Adrian: I love your work on Juding Amy and was wondering if you have any big screen projects in the works (either acting or directing).

11. Adrian: What, besides acting, do you enjoy doing? Any interesting hobbies?

12. Adrian I love to watch you on Judging Amy. It has now became on of my favorite shows. I know your wife’s answer to this question and I was wondering if it was the same or different.
How many kids do you want and would you consider adopting any?
ANSWER: AP”. Two kids seems to be enough at the moment. We would consider adoption at a later date.”
13. Adrian: I haven’t seen a lot of your work because much of it is not available in the UK - or is not compatible with our systems. However, I loved what you did with the McCLaren character (good Scots name!) in Judging Amy - hope you get a chance to continue.
My question: I noticed that you have ventured in to directing a few times. Is that where you would see your career developing and if so, is there a novel or play which you dream of interpreting for the big screen?
ANSWER: AP “Directing is a wonderful tool to share a story, and I will continue to direct as I develop my ability. Directing takes you away from everything else, including family, so I think I will wait a bit before i do it again. ”
14. Hey Adrian! Love your acting, especially on Judging Amy! You’re absolutely gorgeous! Anyway, my question for you is: You filmed your series “Mysterious Ways” in Vancouver and I was wondering how you enjoyed living in Canada (at least while you were shooting) and, would you ever consider moving your family up here?
ANSWER: AP”. I loved working in Canada. Vancouver has been a home away from home for me quite often, and the people have made me an honorary citizen, it feels. I have a few great friends who live up there and I see them from time to time. Perhaps one day I will make it to Edmonton!”

ANSWER: AP”Am I the only one (who ever felt this way).” from WIDE OPEN SPACES album.
18. Dear Adrian, firstly I wanted to say I think you are the best actor! My question is: When you were making Judging Amy did you feel as though you were actually part of the Gray’s extended family, because you made me believe you were! You were brilliant as David McClaren I hope you return in Series 6. Congratulations on the birth of Beckett Finn.
ANSWER: AP”Did I feel as if I were a part of the Gray family? We only had a few scenes together, but we did have a nice time. Everyone made me feel at home, as it wer
19. Dear Adrian: I have to make this comment first because it relates to the question. I had the pleasure of meeting your wonderful wife and her two beautiful friends Emily and Martie when they performed here in Hamilton in August 2003. I was so pleased at how the four of us just chatted about life, family, kids and the simple things. Please do say hello to the girls for me and my question is this: The other day I took my 14-year-old son to see his first out door concert; we went to see “Doc Walker” at a music festival. As I sat on the grass in the park enjoying the beautiful sunny afternoon I thought to myself “If I were famous; I don’t think I would be able to do this because people would be coming to me for autographs and wanting to talk to me all the time”. That thought made me realize just how much of the simple little things famous people have to give up and, for a moment, I felt sad for you and your family. So my question is this; how do you and your family manage to still enjoy those simple things and do you ever regret having to give some of them up in exchange for the fame and fortune?
ANSWER: AP “The biggest compromise you make when you enter into this arena of life is the one of privacy. More often that not it is, for me, quite difficult. I am very private by nature, and very shy. So it often feels
like an intrusion is underway when in fact, it’s not. I have learned to deal with it as best as I might hope to. My wife is actually very generous, and I try to be more like her when I should. Which is most of the time.
20. Dear Adrian, my name is Joseph Bowman, I’m a fifteen year old actor in Colorado and unlike everyone else who submitted for Sharon’s
“question pool”;I am actually your biggest fan. You are actually responsible for my becoming an actor. You inspired me when I was hit with a skin problem that scared and damaged the skin on my face and body since I was ten. I became a fan of yours through your Lifetime TV movies and had an interest in the paranormal so by the time Mysterious Ways came about I watched from day one because I believed in miracles and hoped for one that would bring back the good looks I had been born with. My question is this: Since you inspired me, I have dreamed of the chance to work with you and not to dig to deep because I respect your privacy, but do you plan to start Bobcat Films again? If so could I send you a Headshot/Resum’e one day after I’ve worked for more acting credits? To just have at least one film directed by you on my resume would mean so much to me and would like to thank you now for all that you have done to inspire me so THANK YOU
ANSWER: AP”I am certain that if you make it as an actor, you will be able to find my agent. And by extension, me. Break a leg, and give it all you have Joseph. ”
21. Hello Adrian, you are the epitome of a great actor…. the camera loves you, as do we all! I have always maintained You and Amy Brenneman are the Tracy and Hepburn of our day and age. your acting ability brings to the table a depth, and a sincere believability. Its obvious you are a very giving actor which allows amy to raise the bar of her acting… Their is something pretty magic that is felt by all who have watched you and Amy playing your roles as intelligent love interests on JA… How do you define the chemistry you and Amy Brenneman share when acting together?
ANSWER: AP”Chemistry is magic. You know what it is. We all, from time to time, experience the feeling of just getting along with someone without even trying. The trick on film is to keep that magic alive without relying on it. ‘Cause the second that you do that, your dead. Quite often you can feel like a juggler running out of hands if you exploit friendship for the sake of entertainmen
22. They asked Natalie this on ‘chick chat’, so we should ask you too. What CD’s do you currently have in your player?
ANSWER: AP ” I have in my CD the soundtrack from BIG FISH, Tom Waits’ SWORDFISH TROMBONE, some Obie Trice, and a little Dean Martin for those long rides home.”

I am reading “Naked Lunch” and wondering what makes it your favorite book? Sincerely,
ANSWER: AP”I like the slanted perspective that NAKED LUNCH brought to my life. I remember riding the subway in New York and feeling like I was the only person in the world who understood the book. I am certain, now, that the truth was just the reversed. I was 19 years o
24. Actually, this isn’t so much a question as a hello to Adrian’s sister Anamarie… I’d love it if you could pass it along. She and I were neighbors in Media, PA *many* years ago, when we were little kids. I don’t know if she remembers me, but I’ve always remembered her and her very cool sit-n-spin! Is she doing acting? Wherever she is, I hope she’s doing well.
ANSWER: AP”. I will tell my sister that you say hello. You remember that sit and spin? ‘

I’ve followed your career since then, and have been so pleased for your success.
Now, for my question, . Do you still keep in touch with any of your Mysterious Ways castmates? Has there ever been talk/could there ever be standalone TV films with the MW crew? I still miss the show and would love to see y’all reunited. Has the idea been bounced off PAX?

Profit Intro

Adrian Pasdar will probably be best known around the world for his TV series PROFIT. Although only 9 hours were made, it triggered an unbelievable reaction in critics and fans alike. Several years after its 1996-7 showing, fans still create web sites devoted to the series and clamor for video tapes and memorabilia from the show. While only the first 5 hours were shown in the USA, many countries got to view all 9 hours. [England, France, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Estonia, Israel, South Africa, The Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Sweden, Spain, Germany, And Austria.]

I was fortunate to get a PROFIT presskit with beautiful color pictures [see photographs- TV - Profit] and some video tapes (some pro made for TV reviewers) of all 9 hours. Although not released yet on video or DVD, there are private sources for all the tapes= contact me.

The most effective TV ad for this series began with a close-up view of a spider making a web on a park bench, against a black background. The announcer describes how a spider creates an intricate web, carefully laid to trap others, while avoiding getting caught himself. Suddenly, a mans black dress shoe comes out of nowhere and crushes the spider. The camera pans up to reveal Adrian Pasdar with an evil grin on his face saying, “Amateur!” The ad goes to black only showing the word “PROFIT” and the premier date.It is unknown whether the writers would have been able to maintain the brilliant evilness of PROFIT. What I do know is that the wonderful cast, directors, writers, and the outstanding special effects can never be duplicated.

6. CUPID [not shown in USA. Shown with above episodes around the world late 1997]
A business deal depends on Profits reuniting a wife with her abusive husband. Profit creates doubt in her mind by terrorizing her and having her think it is her husband. Profit finds a “fall” guy and reunites the couple. A secondary plot to remove Sykes fails for Profit.
7. CHINESE BOX [not shown in USA. Shown with above episodes around the world late 1997]
{Personal Note: Out of all the episodes, I feel that this episode was the one to persuade FOX to shelve the series. The plot seems much too evil for current American audiences}
Profit needs to separate Wong Industries from Gracen & Gracen. (Adrian sounds great speaking Chinese!) To accomplish this, he forces his secretary to reestablish a romance with an unbalanced computer scientist who had harassed her. With the FBI hinting at an investigation, Profit foils the FBI, Joanne, and Sykes, and concocts an evil plan to not only satisfy Wong Industries but to triumph over Sykes. His solution is shocking not only to his secretary but to the audience as well.
8. SECURITY [not aired in USA, but shown with above episodes around the world.]
A new worker in the security department is in reality an undercover journalist writing an expose on corruption at the company. Profit first romances her then forces her to let him write the story “his way.”
9. FORGIVENESS [not aired in USA, but around the world in 1997]
Pete Gracen, brother of CEO Charles Gracen, plots a takeover with the help ofd his wife Noras uncle. Nora reveals the plan to Profit and a surprising secret from her childhood. Profit uses the information to force the uncle and the Gracens to do his bidding. The show ends with a shocking example of Profits conscienceless manipulation of people.
